Did you know that  whales are a wildly distributed & they are the coolest group of animals on Earth, With so many specialized features that might as well be from space. If  you're looking for some kind of mind-blowing facts about these awesome marine mammals well here they are. The order  of animals are called cetaceans which means, more  generally relating to large aquatic mammals, either directly or by analogy. More whales mean more fish and krill.

Term 1 Inquiry

For our term one inquiry, Mr Matthews taught us a number of different soccer skills games. We then got into teams and chose one that we wanted to innovate to improve it. After we recorded our new rules we got to teach the rest of the class our new game. It was great fun!

Raglan

  
Tawa Team had a wonderful day trip to Raglan beach. Te Aroha and her group completed the beach relay and had a lot of fun. She used the key competency of Participating and Contributing by accepting responsibility as an individual and as a group member. She also demonstrated the competency of Relating to Others when she worked cooperatively with her group and was considerate of their thoughts and feelings.

Sumatran Tigers Report

Sumatran Tigers are the largest cats in the world. Their Latin name is panthera tigris sumatrae.

Description

Tigers have  thick  skin  to  keep  them  warm, also  they  can  run  up to  65km/h. 

Dynamics

Tigers give birth to two to three cubs at once. They have a loud roar - when  a  tiger  wants  to  be  heard  you`ll  know  about  it.

Habitat

They can be mostly found in Asian jungles: China, Indonesia, Sumatra and Siberia.

Diet

Tigers are carnivores only eating meat such as deer, wild pigs, antelopes and buffaloes.

These tigers have been walking on the earth for a long time. Three species of tigers have become extinct.
